Social Media for Health Professionals

This 5-minute video podcast outlines how and why I use social media as a health professional, briefly touching on some of the potential pitfalls.

As part of a dynamic team of rural general practitioners and students who find great benefits in the use of social media, especially Free Open Access Medical education (FOAM/FOAMed/FOAM4GP), I was asked to put together a brief introductory video about my experiences and reasons for using social media.  The group of videos created will form part of a pre-conference activity (found via the Social Media GP website) for social media workshop attendees at the upcoming WONCA Rural Health Conference 2015 in Dubrovnik, Croatia.
