About GreenGP

GreenGP is authored by Dr. Melanie Considine (nee Clothier) (FRACGP, MBBS (Adel), DCH, CertWH).

I am ‘green’ because I am relatively new, fresh and always learning as a young Australian GP, in addition to living in the beautiful green countryside.  My passion is for rural general practice and life-long learning.  I hope that I might be able to extend this through blogging and use of other social media.  I am also a member on two boards of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (RACGP) – the SA/NT Faculty and the National Rural Faculty.  I was previously a member of the Advisory Council of General Practice Registrars Australia (GPRA).  Hobbies of mine include the simple things in life, such as time with family and friends, enjoying good coffee, good food and wine, music & singing, walking and travel.

All of the opinions expressed in my blog are my own and do not represent any of the people or organisations I work for or with, or whom I may mention from time to time.  My posts do not constitute medical advice and are intended for general educational purposes only.  I accept no responsibility for any errors or omissions and make every effort to reference source material where possible.

Please feel free to leave a reply or message me via twitter @ruralgreengp (previously @drmelclothier).
